Our Mission

Heroes United to Heal is dedicated to ending “Hero Suicide”. Tragically, suicide is the leading cause of death in both our veteran and first responder communities. We plan to put an end to this epidemic by educating veterans, first responders, leaderships, families and the public about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder/Injury (PTSD/I) and erasing the stigma attached to it. Funds raised will be used to accomplish this goal in addition to helping heroes in need of financial assistance by supplementing the cost of various resources proven to be effective but are not covered by the VA or many health insurance carriers.

As Veterans and First Responders, we overcome so much together on the job. Then the memories begin.
Sometimes sooner, sometimes later, everyone is different. That’s the frustrating thing about PTSD/I, it sneaks up on you when you least expect it. And NO, we are not weak. We are not thin-skinned. We are Warriors. Every human being has a breaking point. We can erase the stigma and overcome this Together!
The HU2H Team takes pride in being as transparent as possible. We are a 100% volunteer organization. Not a single member of our Board or volunteers receive any compensation for their services. Rest assured your donations go exactly where they should.

PTSD Education

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition that occurs after a person experiences or witnesses a traumatic event, such as combat, accidents, or personal assaults. It leads to symptoms like flashbacks, nightmares, avoidance behaviors, and heightened emotional reactions. These symptoms can severely impact daily life, but education on PTSD helps individuals understand the condition, its causes, and how it affects mental and physical health. Raising awareness is key to reducing stigma and encouraging those affected to seek treatment. Then the memories begin.

Holistic Treatment Success Stories

Holistic treatments have shown remarkable success in helping those suffering from PTSD. These treatments—such as yoga, meditation, nature therapy, and creative arts—focus on healing the whole person by addressing mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Research shows that 88% of people with PTSD see improvement after participating in holistic activities, which help calm the nervous system and provide healthy coping mechanisms. These success stories highlight the power of a holistic approach in restoring hope and aiding recovery from trauma.
