Bowling for Heroes

Whether you bowl for fun or competition, this is an event where every team stands a chance at winning the Grand Prize!

Heroes United to Heal is hosting a “Bowling for Heroes” Fundraising event on November 17th in Merritt Island Shore Lanes. All Serious Bowlers, Businesses and “Hero” teams are invited to enter. (See below for more information about these categories)

The Grand Prize Offshore Fishing Trip, will be awarded to the team (up to six people) that raises the most money and presents their donation on the day of the event. We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to Fired Up Fishing Charters and Drop Zone Distillery for making this incredible prize possible.

At least 20 teams are necessary to make this event a success, so don’t wait! Put together your team of up to six people and register as soon as possible. The registration fee of $123 includes shoes, food and beverages for all bowlers.

This is a great way to enjoy a fun family friendly event while coming together to erase the stigma of PTSD. Funds raised are used to support our mission of ending veteran and first responder suicide by funding programs often not covered by the VA or health insurance companies. All heroes have a few scars and bad memories which is why it’s important to get them the help they need sooner rather than later.

When registering, choose from one of these three categories: Leagues, Business/Corporate or Heroes.

The League category is for serious bowlers. Teams from local leagues are invited to come and compete with one another within this category.

Business category is any small business or large corporation who wishes to put a team together to represent their business.

The Hero category consists of any team who has served in the military or as a first responder. We would love to see some fun friendly competition between our firefighters and police, Army vs Navy, Space Force vs Air Force, VFW vs American Legions, etc.

Teams may consist of family members, friends, colleagues, etc. if someone needs more bowlers to complete their team. We just ask that the team captain be the person who served or can represent their school or business.

All winners will be announced the day of the event. Fundraising begins immediately and ends the day of the event.

Prizes for best scores and other fun categories will be awarded at the event as well. This competition is based on ONE GAME ONLY, approximately one hour will be given to play that game. Any team who does not complete their game within the time provided will be forced to use the score on the board when the time is called.

Each team will receive a large pizza and two pitchers of soda. Any alcoholic beverages can be purchased privately. This is a family friendly event.
